The brief

The six-bedroom stone house on Shelbyville Road needed the whole floor dressed as one stay, from the sitting room to the last bedroom, without fighting the light in the double-height volume. We specified the sofa for a full house and kept the rooms quiet enough that the fireplace remains the photograph. Housekeeping can walk a straight path through every floor.
